About Alfred Coles Driscoll

I am a maker from Moorestown, NJ currently studying furniture design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I strive to implement new techniques and materials along with the fundamentals of woodworking to create work that represents the best of both areas.  Repetition and creative use of simple geometry are fundamental to my design process. My recent work features the use of both wood and plastics along with LED lighting. Plastic is an amazing material that can do many things that wood cannot. In my lighting pieces, I tried to take advantage of those properties along with those offered by wood to create an interesting mix of multiple mediums.
